All good things must come to an end, and such is the case with Project Reach. Project Reach was a part-social, part-blog, part-documentary, part-Kickstarter-style journey of prototype testing and product development. Over the last few months, we shared the journey in a number of episodes:
- Announcing Project Reach: Sideline is Evolving
- Project Reach Episode 2: What We’re Building
- Project Reach Episode 3: Testing Our Hypothesis
- Project Reach Episode 4: The Action Panel – Taking Advantage of the Moment
- Project Reach Episode 5: Outreach – Boosting Business with Broadcast Texting
We want to give a big thank you to everyone who followed along, to those who have participated in our beta program so far, and to those who are signed up and patiently waiting to try the new features in the near future.
During Project Reach, we kept the beta program small to work directly with users, monitor and assess feedback, and quickly work out any kinks in the new features we’re building. Now, we’re getting close to a quality iOS beta product that we are ready to share with everyone!
Customer feedback was invaluable
Since Project Reach was all about creating a new generation of communication tools for small business owners, we spent a lot of time talking with users in that particular group, like Becca of Body Bronzing by Becca and Erin of Fancy Pants Pet Salon. The feedback from them and our other beta testers helped us refine our new features (and even come up with a few new ones we’ll build in the future).
What’s next?
In the initial stages of the beta, we kept the number of beta participants limited to closely monitor user feedback and figure out how to perfect the experience of our new features.
Good news! We’re very close to having an iOS product that we can share with everyone who has signed up. So stay tuned for updates on when the new features will be made available to you!
Don’t worry Android users, we’re working on developing these features for you also and we’ll keep you updated on our progress.
